Cabco:
Cabco is a New Zealand company that has designed shopping carts which are equipped with a LCD screen
with a chip containing three hours of movies.
The carlike Cabco Karts are large enough to hold two small children and are equipped with seat belts,
doors, a kidsize steering wheel and a screen mounted on the "dashboard." A basket for groceries is
mounted on top of the cart.
Harvest have designed the electronics and software to run the carts including the monitoring of all
carts via a Harvest GPRS Serial Port Extender (SPE) which reports the activities of each cart every hour.
The web based system sends automatic text messages to Cabco service staff across the USA.
ADS:
Harvest is in the process of working with ADS Environmental Services in Australia to provide a solution
for remote retrieval of logs from their flow and depth monitors.
Harvest has developed its Serial Port Extender (SPE) so that it regularly retrieves
and publishes the logs for fast data analysis.
Harvest has also been working with ADS in New Zealand
to provide remote monitoring of rain gauges.
As one of the first companies in NZ to utilize Vodafone's GPRS network, Harvest has dealt with many large
NZ companies. Companies such as Met Service, Niwa, Chubb and NZ Regional Councils all use our
SPE as a solution for retrieval of logs or as part of their alarm system.
