Frost and Weather Monitoring

Harvest Electronics have developed a solar-powered frost alarm and weather station for orchards, vineyards and farms. This system gives you the ability to manage and protect your assets with more precision than ever previously possible.

The picture below shows the Live Data Frost Alarm/Weather Station control unit with optional wind sensor and rain gauge. The case is stainless steel giving strength and durability. It comes with a bracket to mount on a Warratah or any T-post and the whole unit is fully weather-proof.

Each unit supports up to four wireless and two wired temperature sensors. The wireless sensors can be placed up to 250 metres away from the base unit. This enables them to be installed in a few minutes and placed at the coldest and warmest locations on your property so you can get good idea of the temperature profile during a frost event. Under frost conditions new temperature readings are reported every minute.

These units can also be configured to monitor irrigation systems for water resource consents (water flow rate, accumulated totals, well depth and conductivity) as well as wind machines (battery voltage and run hours)
